Newmarket Magic Shindig 2026

The Newmarket Magic Shindig is a friendly, intimate weekend of magic at the Best Western Heath Court Hotel, November 6 to 8, 2026, run by Wayne Goodman of WG Magic Shop.

Friday is the warm-up: an informal meet at a pub on the high street (most likely the Golden Lion) from midday until late, all jams and hellos. Saturday is the heart of it, a full day of sessions, community hangouts and surprises, plus four lectures with Vinny Sagoo, Michael Murray and Craig Petty announced and a fourth to come. Saturday night brings a family-friendly public magic show at 7:30pm, hosted by Wayne Goodman and featuring Ryland the kid magician from Britain's Got Talent and America's Got Talent, Thea Petty, Oliver Tabor, and a mystery final performer. Sunday is the gentle wind-down over breakfast in town.

Families are welcome throughout, kids under 16 attend free with a full-paying adult, and there are spouse discounts. Dealers include Secret Service, Magic Gaz, Discount Magic and Jamie Dawes, with more to be announced. Solo convention tickets are 50 pounds including the show; show-only seats are 5 pounds and open to the public. Spaces are limited.
