Abano National Convention 2026

The Club Magico Italiano's annual international congress reaches its 141st meeting in 2026, returning to the spa town of Abano Terme near Padua from Thursday, October 1 through Saturday, October 3.

The program packs three days: international lectures from Rune Carlsen (Norway), Gaia Germani (Italy), Jin Hyoung Han and Myun Joon Lee (Korea), and Tino Plaz (Switzerland); the 89th CMI College stage and close-up masterclass, open to all; a FISM Judges Forum; the International Close-Up Gala Show on Friday night; and Saturday's stage and close-up competition across eight categories (manipulation, comedy, stage illusion, general magic, mentalism, micromagic, card magic and parlour), followed by the award ceremony, a magic auction, and the International Gala Show. Dealers are open all three days.

The social side is half the point: a Thursday aperitif and international gala dinner (reservation required, 60 euros), and a midnight Dinner with the Artists after Saturday's gala.

Everything happens under one roof at the Alexander Palace Hotel, and rooms are booked together with your registration. Register online through the congress form; payment is by PayPal or bank transfer. The program is published in Italian and English, and the congress draws performers and collectors from well beyond Italy.
